Overview

This survey is designed to gather information and evidence on recent exposure to, and experience of, counterfeit automotive parts. Building on previous work, this will inform development of a new UK awareness raising campaign.

In 2018, the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) in collaboration with the automotive industry, law enforcement and other stakeholders delivered a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of counterfeit car parts in the UK, including guidance for consumers.
